Failing to Disclose Preexisting Condition can be Detrimental to Workers Comp Claim

Failing to disclose preexisting conditions in your workers compensation claim can be devastating to your case.  I have taken time to write several blog articles on preexisting conditions.  It is important to note that a preexisting condition IS NOT a bar to workers compensation benefits.  However, failing to disclose it can have broad ramifications on your case.  Many clients simply fear that if they disclose they had a prior condition, that their benefits will be denied.  Well, it will lead…

Maryland and Pennsylvania Workers Comp Benefits Are Different

Maryland and Pennsylvania workers compensation laws and procedural practice are actually quite different from one another.  The attorneys at Mooney Law are well versed in both practices. The benefits offered to Maryland injured workers are different than in Pennsylvania.  In Maryland, an injured worker is entitled to benefits based on whether the injury corresponds to permanent disabilities or temporary disabilities.  That determination may be made by the Maryland Workers Compensation Commission.  An additional avenue of benefits is based on the…

Mooney Law is now taking cases of pulmonary illness, respiratory failure, and addiction among both children and adults, as a result of JUUL or other e-Cigraettes.  Case evaluations are FREE. For decades, tobacco companies sought ‘alternatives’ to cigarettes to lower health risks, provide the same effect as cigarettes, but keep profits soaring.  In 2015, Juul was founded and marketed itself as the new alternative to cigarettes. E-Cigarettes were marketed as a ‘safe alternative’ although we now know they are far…
